The SPI 20A401LY is a normally open pump duty mercury float. Normally open meaning it is OFF when in the normal position (hanging) and ON when it is in the upright position (floating). Pump duty or Standard Duty, refers to the amp rating on the float. This float has an amp rating high enough to turn a pump on and off. See Max pump rating below.

Junior M-Navigator

  • Mercury-activated, wide-angle float to directly control a pump
  • Not sensitive to rotation or turbulence
  • For use in water and sewage application
  • Controls pumps up to 1/2 HP at 120 VAC and 1 HP at 240 VAC
  • Pump Down (Normally Open)
  • Adjustable pumping range of 6 to 36 inches
  • 16-guage, 2-conductor, SJOW water-resistant (CPE) material
  • Max pump running current, 13 amps
  • Max pump starting current, 43 amps
  • 10' Cord (No Plug)

If you have a lift station, this is definitely a very good option. These float switches will last a very long time when used in a pilot duty control system.
