Pump Float Switches
Float Switches are a small float that hangs down in your septic tank. As the water level changes pump float switches begin to float with the water. At a certain water height the switch will be activated turning the pump On/Off. There are 2 major types of pump float switches. "Mechanical" and "Mercury Activated". Mechanical is often cheaper but "Mercury Activated" pump float switches are more reliable and last longer.
