The SPI 20A603 is a normally closed, control duty, mechanical float switch. Normally closed or Pump Up means that the float is ON when it is in the normal position (hanging) and OFF when it is in the raised position (floating). Control duty means that it does not have the amp rating required to turn on a pump, meaning this float should be used for turning an alarm on and off only.
