Welcome to TG WasteWater
Root problems can be very annoying and expensive to fix. Fortunately, root problems can be controlled through the use of either Roebic K-77 Root Killer or Roebic Foaming Root Killer (FRK). You will need to choose the one that is right for your particular situation. Both of these products kill invading roots, but they will not "burn or "corrode" the roots out of the system. After the root is killed, it will begin to degrade via microbial action in this bacterial rich environment. It is this action of root degradation which will "clear" your system.
In Septic Systems - If you have either a septic tank and a drainfield, or a cesspool and a seepage pit, and you are experiencing root problems; then you should try Roebic. Root Killer
This unique root killer, which does not contain copper sulfate, foams on contact with water for superb results. This product also contains ingredients that help speed up the decay process of the roots that it kills. This enables you to experience fast relief from your root problems. (It should take Foaming Root Killer, from 2 days to 1 week to clear your line) Your system must have some flow in order for the Foaming Root Killer to work properly. If the Foaming Root Killer cannot get to the roots, it cannot kill them.
Frequently Asked Consumer Questions
Q: What is the difference between K-77 Root Killer and Foaming Root Killer?
A: K-77 is not a foaming root killer; it is still a contact root killer but does not have a foaming action. Roebic K-77 will treat an entire septic system from the house to the drain field. Foaming Root Killer will only treat from the house to the septic tank. If you are treating a sewer line the K-77 will treat a longer length of pipe line and one bottle of Foaming Root Killer only treats up to 50 feet of 4" pipe line.
Q: I am on a Septic System, is FRK the right product to use?
A: Foaming Root Killer will only treat from the house to the tank, not beyond that point. K-77 Root Killer would be the product to use to treat any roots beyond the septic tank.
Q:How many feet will one bottle of Foaming Root Killer treat?
A: Foaming Root Killer is sold in a One Pound bottle and treats up to 50 feet of line.
Q: How long does the product have to stay in the line?
A: It is best to use the Foaming Root Killer at night before going to bed. Let the product stay in the line for about six hours. The next morning you can return to normal water usage.
Q: Will Foaming Root Killer harm my trees?
A: No, Foaming Root Killer is a contact root killer and will only kill the roots it comes in direct contact with.
Q: How often should I apply Foaming Root Killer?
A: Foaming Root Killer should be applied twice per calendar year. We recommend using it in the spring and late fall. Depending on how significant the root problem is sometimes it has to be mechanically rooted and then Foaming Root Killer can be used as a regular maintenance product.
